Gym vs Mauy Thai

Training today consisted of going to the gym. Hardly exciting, I know, but I have to add that at gym (as opposed to the cruel world of Mauy Thai) they allow you to skip with imaginary ropes. This means no embarrassing Face-Plants. Just skip, skip, skip!

On that note, though, Marco did go to Mauy Thai and almost had his jaw broken. He came back with all sort of other aches and pains too...

When I said - "whatever you do, don't hurt yourself before Kili"... he probably on hear the middle bit of that sentence.

Boys, eh?

Skipping is a bit weird at first but the once you get it....

Benefits Of Skipping

People looking to lose weight are always interested in doing exercises. But if you want to lose weight, sooner or later you are going to have to start doing exercises to burn off extra calories. While taking weight loss pills, such as ProShapeRX pills, to start the weight loss process is a good idea, calories will still refuse to burn themselves off. This means that you have to do some efforts.

There are many types of motion: weight lifting, walking, exercises, skipping etc. Now we'll talk about benefits of skipping.
What are the benefits of skipping?

Skipping is something everybody can do in their spare time
It’s a simple and funny exercise and once you got the hand of it, you’re bound to like it
Skipping is not complicated at all. If you can pop a ProShapeRX pill in your mouth, then you can certainly skip the rope
Skipping doesn’t take any brains at all, just a bit of muscular coordination
The effort it takes to jump the rope for ten minutes is the equivalent of running a mile in eight minutes
One hour of rope skipping will burn off 1 300 calories , which is not bad at all for something that only requires a piece of rope and some free time

Skipping also does a better job protecting your joints
Skipping is also good for your arms. The shoulders get a really good workout from keeping that rope in motion

While training in Muay Thai you will spar against class mates but the likely chance of you actually braking or hurting something severely are less than none however, you will get bruises. The great thing about a bruise is that it heals leaving you wiser for your next session.
Obviously the severity of the bruise will be greater if you’re a guy compared to girls who are sometimes only there for the fitness part of the class.

Thanks for the comments; although I have to disagree with the bit where it says "Skipping doesn’t take any brains at all, just a bit of muscular coordination"

I think it takes brains & co-ords... not just co-ords... hee hee :)
